Singer/songwriter Matt Dent has spent years travelling from town to town and connecting with people, experiencing life and really getting to know this land, clocking up over 500 gigs just in the local area through his travels to pubs, clubs and other venues in New South Wales and around Canberra. He is a favoured act at many local venues including the Tradies Club in Dickson, Vikings Clubs across Canberra, the Royal Hotel Queanbeyan, Hibernian Hotel Goulburn, Yass Hotel and many more.
Matt has already begun to breathe new life into the spirit of Aussie pub rock and roots. He has performed in the Corinbank Music Festival, set in the tangled alpine gum forests of the Brindabella Mountains. As well as his unique interpretations of known Aussie pub rock songs, Matt has also toured his debut LP 'Welcome to the Sky', produced in Melbourne by Jamie X and featuring drum tracks by John Watson (Kasey Chambers, Australian Crawl and Dragon), and bass by Jonathan Zion (Pete Murray, Ian Moss and Lior).
Matt brings a show full of stories of the land, as well as plenty of foot stomping, dancing fun to every gig with a broad play list and a big voice to fill the room. Matt plays for all types of event public and private, and is available as a solo act, as part of a duo or with a full band.
