Michael Milton’s career highlights include being Australia’s first winter gold medallist (Olympic or
Paralympic) and in total he has acquired ten Paralympic medals including six gold. He made a clean sweep of the alpine events at the 2002 Salt Lake Paralympic Games (a record four gold medals win), which was also the culmination of a personal ten-year goal. Since being presented with the Order of Australia Medal in 1992, Michael has been recognised many times for his achievements both on and off the ski slopes.

Michael is a talented and sought-after speaker. Over the years he has done numerous presentations to corporate groups of varying sizes and is well used to adapting his speech to suit themed events. His supporting audiovisual presentation is of a high quality and offers effective insight into the challenges of his sport.

Michael is also comfortable talking to children. As an Education Coordinator for the 2000 Paralympics, he completed over 350 school presentations in six months.

Thanks to Michael’s success at the 2002 Winter Paralympic Games and his subsequent Laureus Award (2002 Laureus World Athlete of the Year with a Disability) media interest has grown substantially. Among other programs, Michael has appeared on: CNN Network (Europe and USA), Andrew Denton’s Enough Rope (ABC), Sunrise (Seven Network), Sports Tonight (Ten Network), 60 Minutes and The NRL Footy Show (Nine Network) and Toyota World Sports (SBS), all of which have helped to raise Michael’s profile and suitability for his post-skiing career as a motivational speaker.
