Venetta's first claim to fame was performing as one of the famous ' Ikettes' with Ike & Tina Turner (popular icons from the 1960's) Since then, Venetta's talent has taken her to the top of her field as one of the most sought after back up singers in the USA performing alongside Diana Ross , Pink Floyd , Steely Dan , Joe Cocker , Quincy Jones , Bette Midler , The Rolling Stones , Burt Bacharach , Bob Dylan , Neil Diamond , a nd the great Aretha Franklin .
In the early 90's, Venetta made the decision to come to Australia and since then has recorded with some of Australia 's best including: Richard Clapton , Australian Crawl , Jimmy Barnes, Tim Finn and John Farnham. During this time, she has also made a successful transition into live theatre where she has starred in ' Big River ', 'Blues in the Night' (concert version of the 'Chess' ) and Melbourne Theatre Company's, 'The Crucible'.
