Steve Liebmann

Steve Liebmann is one of the nation's most respected broadcasters
and TV-anchors. Co-host of the long-running Nine Network
Today program since it was launched in 1982 Liebmann has
interviewed Presidents, Prime Ministers, Royalty and the
world's leading entertainers and sportsmen and women and
is considered one of our fairest, impartial and objective
journalists.
Liebman grew-up in Cooma at the base of the Snowy Mountains
where he began his 45-year career in rural, regional and capital
city radio and television. After Cooma, he worked in Canberra
before moving to Sydney to join the newsroom at Radio 2UE,
where he later became director of news and public affairs and
presented an afternoon news and public affairs program on that
station until he left to join 2SM in 1976. In the same year he
became the host of the Seven Network's "11AM" program.
In 1981 he joined the Nine Network to co-host the Today Show
and stayed with that program until 1987 when he joined the Ten
Network to anchor their main 6pm news bulletin. He re-joined
the Today program in 1990 and remains at the Nine Network
presenting the program across Australia and around New Zealand
five days a week.
Steve Liebmann has travelled extensively to present the Today
program from the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong
and Canada and from around Australia.
