Brett Nielsen

Brett Nielsen has the dubious claim to fame of bring Australia’s first Thalidomide child and for most of his life, Brett has dealt with worldwide publicity surrounding him not having any arms. He’s always used his feet in the same way that others use their hands – capturing the imagination and interest of the public and media. One thing that remains positively clear is that nothing will ever mange to get the better of Brett and he has achieved a great deal. He is a successful composer, recording artist (piano) and filmmaker.

As a guest speaker, Brett is a lively and unique person who will delight, enchant and inspire audiences everywhere. Brett recounts his life with a superb mixture of perspicacity and laconic wit. Brett’s story is one of persistence, resilience and ingenuity. It’s a story of an extraordinary ordinary man.
