The alarm is sounding: today's kids are simply not active enough, and the result is an epidemic of childhood obesity and poor health. But that's changing thanks to the passion and imagination of Scott Ehler and Amy Wilkins (Active Kidz), two talented young performers and fitness professionals who have created the sensational new concept "Active Kidz".
Broadcast on ABC television (ABC Kids) and accredited by the NSW Department of Education and Training, Active Kidz is an educational and fitness based program for children, designed to inform and empower both children and their families to make healthy choices about nutrition and physical activity.
In addition to the ABC television (ABC Kids) show, Active Kidz tour around Australia, Asia, UK and New Zealand promoting the healthy way. Whether it is a performance at a school, a health campaign launch, or a LIVE concert, the AK show is structured for fun and enjoyment. Participation is a must at any given concert – and sometimes the parents just can’t help but get “activated”!
Active Kidz have a string of awards under their belt as well – some of these include: Fitness Professional of Australia (Scott), Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Amy), Best Music for Children’s Television, and Young Achievers Australia Post Business Award, to name a few.
